You may have not heard of any of these except Enbrel and Humira only because they are advertised on TV everyday. The drug companies want to make you believe that you can use these products and you will get instant relief with them. They do warn you of the side effects in the commercial and they do the right thing when they tell you to talk to your doctor, which you should do before taking any medications anyway.
The known side effects to all of these drugs are they may weaken your immune system and leave you open for colds and other nasty viruses. If you experience any fever you must call the doctor right away and let them know. People who are taking blood thinners should refrain from using this medication as well.
Everyday, science is getting better and better at developing new drugs that will one day eliminate arthritis but in the meantime, do your research on any drug that you are given and make sure you know the facts.
